Vision Statement

Our Vision Statement

Vision is a picture of the future that produces passion. This is what we believe, as a church, is God’s vision for this church. Our hope is that as people join the church here at CEC, they will ‘get on board’ with the vision and mission of the church as we work together for the glory of God. So here is our vision:

1. It is the vision of this church to share the good news of Jesus with our community and to give the thousands of people in our area repeated opportunities to hear and respond to Jesus Christ. To be a church that is spiritually deep and numerically growing.

2. It is the vision of this church to be a church for all people of all ages. A place where people can find salvation in Christ, love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement.

3. It is the vision of this church to be a church that laughs, loves, learns, celebrates, cries, cares, treasures and upholds the unity in Christ we enjoy. To be a church of renowned character and integrity as we follow biblical truth.

4. It is the vision of this church to be a house of prayer, recognising individually and corporately that we are totally dependent upon God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We acknowledge that it is Christ Himself who builds the church and that we are completely reliant on Him for all we are and all we do.

5. It is the vision of this church to be a community of believers who encourage one another to grow in our faith as we develop to spiritual maturity by living, learning and serving together so that we increasingly become like Christ.

6. It is the vision of this church to develop a network of small groups where we care for each other, learn, pray and do life together.

7. It is the vision of this church to equip every believer to fulfil their ministry potential by helping them discover the gifts and talents God has given them to be used to serve Him here at CEC and around the world.

8. It is the vision of this church to build teams of leaders by training, equipping and mentoring them to fulfil their God given leadership potential.

9. It is the vision of this church to have church buildings with developing facilities which meet the evolving needs and mission of the church.

10. It is the vision of this church to be the best we can for God, to aim at excellence in all that we do because God deserves our best.
