How can they hear, unless we tell them | Feba Radio

How important is your Bible to you? Is it just an old book? Do you think it’s valuable? Do you have favourite passages? If you could read just one verse to a million people who know nothing of Christianity, which would you read? In the 15th Century in England, the Bible could only be read by scholars – it was in Greek and Latin only. William Tyndale saw this as a problem. He translated the New Testament into English and wanted distribute it so everyone in this country could read it for themselves. He was persecuted, fled abroad but was eventually caught and executed. Before he died, he prayed asking God to ‘open the eyes of the King of England.' That prayer was answered. Within a year of his death a Bible in English was in every parish church across this country. We can buy and read a copy in our language. But what about those still awaiting a translation in their language? Or who cannot read? This is Feba’s heart. Feba enables and equips Christians around the world to share the Good News with people, by using radio, internet, recordings, and so on. Feba focuses on parts of the world that are hard to reach – because there is no established church, or persecution presents a serious threat to evangelism or to new converts. Radio can overcome these types of barrier when local people who speak the local language and know the local culture can speak to their own people group.Download the outline here.
