Welcome to Real Lives!

Real Lives is a week of special evenings, with guests sharing honest stories of lives changed by Jesus. Throughout the week we will be joined by each of the guests shown below, as well as Martin Povey, who will be chatting to the guests and then giving a short reflection.

Each evening from Monday to Saturday features a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with live interviews, music, and a short reflection. While adults listen to the conversations, there’s a fun and engaging children’s programme running so the whole family can enjoy the week. Then come back on Sunday morning to hear from Martin Povey once more.

Whether you're exploring faith for the first time or simply curious, Real Lives offers a space to hear real stories, ask real questions, and reflect on what life really means.

Each of these events are FREE to attend. Please reserve your place using the links below to let us know you're coming (especially so we can plan the children's programme), though if you decide to come last minute, feel free to just turn up).

But after being ripped off for a large amount of money by his new found colleagues, he was left the lowest he had been in his life, facing prison or even death. That was when God threw him a lifeline...

What to Expect at Real Lives

What Happens?

From Monday to Saturday at 7pm, Martin Povey will be joined each day by a special guest for an engaging interview. For around 40 minutes, you’ll hear their story — their life, challenges, and how they came to follow Jesus. After each interview, Martin will share a short message about how Jesus can still change lives today.

Who Can Come?

Everyone is welcome at Real Lives. While the interviews are mainly aimed at adults, they are also suitable for young people in Year 7 and above who’d like to come along. For children in Year R to Year 6, we are preparing a great Cowplain Kids programme with amazing stories, songs, and games with special prizes. If you have a baby or child of pre-school age, we have a room with toys for you to take them, where the interview will be shown on the screen. Our Sunday morning Discovery Services are designed for the whole family, with something for all ages to enjoy.

There’s no charge for any of the events, just use the buttons below to let us know which evening(s) you'd like to come to.

Whether you’d call yourself a Christian, are simply curious, or aren’t sure what you believe, you’ll be made very welcome. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible or have been to a Christian event before — just come as you are. The evenings are relaxed and friendly, with no expectations or pressure.

When Can I Come?

You’re warmly invited to come to every event, or just the ones you're free for. We begin at 7pm, with doors open from 6:30pm (Monday–Saturday). You’re welcome to stay afterwards to enjoy free refreshments - there’s plenty of time to chat, ask questions, or just relax — no rush and no pressure.
